Anyone else hope Charizard never makes it into future titles ever again after this backlash? I’m pretty sure even people defending the game must be sick of his shilling by now and they have to make room for the other starters in future gens if they want to keep people happy.
He’s one of my favorite starters, he truly is, but he did not need 2 megas, a gigantamax, and all the anime shilling it gets. I’m used to when pokemon was equally fair to all starters. Even anime ash let stuff like bulbasaur and squirtle shine despite Charizard being the only one that got to evolve.

In retrospect I also hope they don’t ever shill a specific starter with the anime like they did with Sceptile and Greninja but that doesn’t seem likely anymore woth Go’s existance.
