>>42257203oldfag that doesn't use /vp/ here. y'all kids can squirm and shriek over my post all you want idc
played yellow when it came out. played gold when it came out. stopped playing after being disappointed I couldn't go back to johto and kanto after finishing ruby, didn't play pokemon for a while after that. years later when I was like 25 or some shit I played platinum and white and xy or w/e these new games are called, emulated. they were alright but didn't really like where things were going after platinum and never played any of those that came after it through. especially one of the newer ones came out a year or two ago, I think it was sun/moon? all the tutorials and cutscenes and the way battles were, it was like wading through teletubbies molasses. felt like I was handling a plastic keychain or some shit
my brother got sword for christmas and played it on the TV, watched a few hours of it. was legitimately impressed by what it is. actually looks extremely fun, with customizable characters and at this point it's like pokemon stadium has been injected into the RPG series. also training pokemon as a team is great, no more gayass hundred hours of micromanagement individual pokemon training, it just isn't fun and it's what has killed replay value in pokemon for me. I'm at /vp/ rn because I'm investigating emulating sword/shield. you're all dumb zoomer faggots that think this is a bad game your games have been getting trash for a decade. the limited dex is sad but whatever, the design is good. this shit is what we were dreaming of back in '98-'01.
