Fearow - Better than Pidgeot, but eternally outshined by Dodrio. Really bad.
Noctowl - Probably the worst of all the birds. Slightly better now in swsh with access to tinted lens, nasty plot, and hurricane, but still very lacking
Swellow - Not terrible. Ran Guts Flame Orb sets with modest success for three gens until it got STAB Boomburst. Does okay for itself with that.
Staraptor - Eternal god of BL. Respectable in doubles too with intimidate and Final Gambit. The bet of its kind up to this point.
Unfezeant- Contended with Noctowl for a long time as the worst early bird. Better now that they finally gave it brave bird. Scope lens Super Luck with Dynamax attacks is cute but that’s about it.
Talonflame - Gen 6 Gale Wings was CRAZY. Second best early bird ever. Extremely powerful OU threat back then. Punched with the big boys in vgc16. Way waaaay worse now, but peaking high enough to need a nerf is impressive.
Toucannon - Okay I guess? Fun movepool but awkward stats to use it.
Corviknight - the Best early bird ever post taonflame nerd. Steel / Flying is fucking crazy good typing
Overall they’re like half good
