He absolutely loved it and thought it looked epic, that's why he placed it somewhere he could see it all the time. One day, while he was sick and nearing his last moments, he finally asked my mom and I to search for this angel's name, and the artwork's story/lore, because he never really did before. Turns out it was Zeus transformed into a bird and kidnapping Ganymede. We ended up telling my grandpa "He's called Ganymede and the bird is uh, a representation of Zeus and they're having an epic battle"
"Nice, that's a fierce name, [my pregnant aunt's name] should name her boy like that"
I still laugh about the day I looked up the info.
