Leons team is vastly stronger. Makes sense for him to win. Also Leon SHOULD be the strongest champion because the Galar region has Pokemon battling as their main source of entertainment, so it would likely have the most competition.

Most of the strongest trainers probably didn't participate. It's also not impossible that Lance has become stronger over time since it's been a long time since gen 1 at this point. Maybe he has traveled the world and caught stronger Pokemon.

I hate this already, Leon was a big fish in a small pond Galar never went up against any outsider trainers because they don't have the Dynamax feature if anything it better oh forget it they don't care so why should I? The only champions the anime team let live up to their titles are Cynthia of Shinnoh and Steven of Hoenn Diantha almost lost to Ash and never fought after that, Alder didn't even fight at all and Iris was never shown to take the position of champ her last appearence was chasing after fug

You have it backwards. Kanto is a small part of Japan, Galar is the entirety of Britain. Lance is the big fish in a small pond. Even just going in terms of local competition Raihan has a better team than lance as another dragon trainer.

In the anime they literally say that Dynamax is a phenomena that only occurs in Galar and that's the only reason Ash and Go went to Galar instead.

Hell, random people knew that red lights in the Wild Area meant a Pokémon was going to go Dynamax, but the professor, Ash and Go didn't. If it was a thing going on everywhere, they would've simply followed any random Snorlax until it Dynamaxed.
