I unironically think Rillaboom is a fantastic design and that, if they didn't give it drumsticks, it'd probably be my favorite grass starter (or at least on par with Venusaur). It's the only starter from the past 3 generations that looks and feels like an actual monster and it's line has reasonable progression, with each form looking like a more grown up version of the previous one instead of either changing drastically or having each form have next to nothing in common. The other two starters of galar are horrible atrocities, but Rillaboom genuinely feels like it'd fight right at home in one of the older games. I think the only issue is that, well, it's a gorilla. So it's humanoid by default, and thus gets lumped in with the anthro starters even though it's still a very animalistic and monstrous gorilla.

Also he bears more than a passing resemblance to one of the Kongs and I fucking love that.
