>>42279376This entire line is nothing short of genius. If James Turner made this line, it is without a doubt his magnum opus.
Settle down and listen to
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dG_vK7-svWs [Embed] while I educate you on the magnificence of the Rolycoly line.
I always liked this line anyway, I knew Rolycoly wouldn't disappoint from the moment it was first shown, but only after actually scrutinizing the fuck out of it did I realize the absolute genius that went into its perfect design.
This line has it all, it has the literal perfect amount of subtlety and what I mean by that is when you look at it you don't immediately see what it is supposed to be. It's like looking in the distance and not noticing a chameleon because it's of its camouflage, yet once you're aware of the chameleon you can make it out clearly.
Other Pokemon lines fuck up, they're too in your face with their references and what the designer wanted them to be. In time I'm sure people will cry about the same thing here when they forget that this line was subject to much debate as to what exactly it is and why it didn't turn out the way people originally thought (a train lmao).
This line perfectly tells the story of the journey coal takes through the mines.
Rolycoly = The Wheelbarrow
Carkoal (the most non subtle of them all) = The Minecart
Coalossal = The Furnace
So much attention to detail was put into this line that even the shiny form continues to show why this line is perfect, because the shiny forms pay homage to the diamond aspect of coal, which is why its shiny forms adopt a grey diamond look to them.
There was never a train theme, you deluded yourselves into thinking there was, so much so that even as I'm sat here educating you on the truth a lot of you still can't appreciate the peerless perfection that is Rolycoly, Carkoal and Coalossal.
It's a well documented fact that only the highest of IQ players are capable of appreciating this line. Single digit IQ players wanted a cringy train.
