>>42279717I’m in the same boat, but I also think that there won’t be a time where normalfags will really complain, or if they do, it will only be a tiny minority.
Cause see, the average normalfag really doesn’t care about how much or how little content there or, how many Pokemon there are in the game, or any of that stuff - they just want their yearly “fix”. They want a short and easy game that can distract them for a few weeks and they can post snippets of their playthrough on their social media accounts, and hits their nostalgia buttons so they feel rewarded for being a longtime fan. As long as new games meet the requirement (which let’s be honest, the games do that be default), the majority are completely satisfied.
Retrospect moment, but I think the dexcut actually helped the sales more than anything - even the likes of ArtsyOmni, the same guy who made the fake Rayman in Smash peak, thought that too many Pokemon were overwhelming, and plenty of others probably thought that same way. Between that and the current amount of sales we can guess at, I wholly expect Gamefreak to start axing more content because that ORAS interview of removing the Battle Frontier to appeal to the mobile gaming crowd basically turned out to be completely accurate.
Either way, the people that are making bank of the franchise are the ones that really won out, like those Poketubers that were shitting their pants when they thought that COPPA was about to take their YouTube money away from them.
