because it's a legitimate playstyie with plenty of counterplay but you'd rather use garbage and your bros instead of sticking a stallbreaker in your team and it hurts your shitty roleplaying heart when you lose to a guy with 6 walls.

Its a valid playstyle. There’s no reason to have a circlejerk around hating it. Nobody cares this much about ho or balance but the second you fire up a stall team you’re a monster

Stall is annoying only when you have a team that's not well equiped to dismantle it.
Breaking through a stall team by making aggressive plays and double switching like a madman with crazy breakers like Mega Mawile, Kyurem B, Hoopa U, Togekiss, etc is really fun.
So I'd say stall is just another matchup fishing playstyle like rain and trick room except it's more satisfying to beat and requires you to know slot about positioning.

it's cheap
it's tedious.
it's a waste of time.
But worst of all, Smoshit actually has bias for it.

Stall on Showdown became so annoying I ended up buying the game, despite I had no intention for doing it.

Stalling requires more mental skill and effort rather than sweeping the entire opponent team with a max evs Atk/Spe or SpAtk/Spe. The ev spread will be more complex and less straight maximizing; the moves to choose from will took more effort and calculation to understand when use one or the other; rather than pressing the same max-damage move or buff before doing that. There is more strategy behind survive instead of mindless attack, in a war or battle, it won who survives, who resiste to the opponents attacks, not who does most kills.
