>>42285297>So basicaly like Stadium, Colloseum, XD and other stationary console games that used Pokemon battle mechanics?Yep. Those games might look worse since they aren't HD games, but the animations and particle effects just blow SwSh away. They feel like actual console games, whereas SwSh presents like an upscaled 3DS game. The fact that there are people actually complement SwSh's presentation is depressing. Also, the time it takes for secondary effects to process (e.g., super-effective/critical hit text, abilities, weather damage, item activation, recovery for each fucking pokemon) makes the games seem dated/stiff as fuck. Why doesn't most of that shit happen at once. I tried watching some SwSh streamers battling online just cause I was curious what the comp scene looked like. That shit was constantly putting me to sleep. Do people really not have a frame of reference for how much better things could be? Or do they just really not have standards at all?
Mainline Pokemon games are dated as fuck and will always take a backseat to the other kiddy games mentioned in ITT. It's mostly teenage/adult fans that are willing to tolerate that shit over actually just playing a different game.
