It was mind bogglingly, incomprehensibly, injustafiably stupid that you can only withdraw pokemon to the save that depositted them
It's only compatible with Diamond and Pearl, except in Japan they released an update to make it compatible with Platinum (I forget if HGSS worked as well with that patch?), an update they never localized because nintendo hates you and wants you to know it
