Aight anons. In celebration of Movie 23's big reveal, i though it would be fun to post some tier lists for the pokemon movies. I've included mine.

I’d recommend skipping the Hoopa movie if you want to watch the others. As for the reveal, I don’t have that, but hope some anon will bless us with the link.

Yeah that was pretty dumb. Castelia is already a stand-in for Manhattan so I don't get why they thought they'd introduce a second New York City expy.

The movies do this thing where they introduce locations that aren't in the games, which isn't inherently bad. It gets to be fucking retarded when these locations are based on places not from the real-world location the region is based on. For instance, the Lati movie had a city in Johto based on Italy. But the one that fucking takes the cake is the Hoopa movie tossing in PokeSaudi Arabia into the middle of PokeFrance.

I actually was considering catching up on the movies as of late. I was thinking of skipping the Hoopa movie anyway mostly because i'm bitter that hoopa brought latios back from the dead. at least that's what i've been told

I think it's because they barely even used anything from ny in the region that wasn't just a skyscraper.
Also lol every other gen 5 movie was set in a city based on france literally every other one, so I don't even know why they did it unless they just realized they didn't add almost anything ny in the region that was supposed to be ny.

Personally, I like it when the movies do this, But respect your opinion.

To be fair, the locals probably are my favourite part of the Hoopa Movie, and I always thought it was more Egypt inspired.

That and Hoopa is EXTREMELY annoying.

OP here to explain my views on Movie 12:

it is kind of contradictory, retconny and doesn’t make much sense, but it’s a decent climax to the Alimos Trilogy of Pokemon movies. You’ve got to take the good with the bad, like Shaymin’s character for most of Movie 11 or Kyurem being a “Villain” solely because the swords of justice wanted to beat him up for some reason.

In conclusion, Kyurem did nothing wrong and I enjoy movie 12 in spite of it’s flaws.

OP here, a solid list especially Hoopa movie’s placement. It can go die.

Manaphy movie’s placement is also justified, mainly by Ash hijacking it at the end.
