They sold more because of false advertising and ULTRA CHANGES. Reviews were pretty fucking lukewarm, and that's for even Pokemon games which always get a pass for being objectively shitty.

Crystal didn't fucking have to change much in the first place, you goddamn moron. Gold and Silver were already the most complete Pokemon games ever, and arguably HGSS still are.
The reason this expansion pack fucking sucks is because Galar is fucking tiny and the areas should already have been in the game. Also the 200 pokemon they're adding should have been in the game. And more clothing options should have been in the game.
You're letting GF gaslight you by making you believe all this shit deserves to be carved out of the base game and sold to you at a premium.
