But this has always been a concept of Pokémon games in every game in every generation where they didn’t have every single Pokémon . You either had to wait for an event , which was the dlc of the past, or transfer from another game that may have been a past game. I get that it’s not a one unified experience , but you’re literally upset that it’s a Pokémon game .

Granted I only watched the Direct once while it was live, but isn’t it only 5? The two new Regis, the bear cub, its evolution , and the deer? Granted the evolution has two forms but it’s still the same Pokemon?

You can transfer them from previous games. Hopefully this continues and eventually all the old Pokemon will be compatable again. You don't have to buy the dlc

They're being patched in only because they have to give them to the players that don't pay. If they didn't it would be a nightmare to connect players online. It would be like trying to connect someone playing Pokemon USUM with Pokemon SWSH.

With the state of the game's release - all of this should have been released for free. This was the most incomplete Pokemon game released to date and now they want us to pay them more.

One of these DLC's should have been offered for free at least.

It isn't half the price - Pokemon games were $40 a piece prior to this. Now, we're paying more than double if we buy the pass for an experience that's on par with traditional releases.

Inflation. Most of the Pokemon games were effectively the same price or even more expensive. I think part of why SM and XY were so bad was because of the lower price.

I don't like how they framed it, but I'm looking at it this way:

Instead of buying a full third version, they're expanding pre-existing games for 1/2 the price. And, separately, they're patching in a large amount of the remaining pokedex.

I haven't bought Sw/Sh because I don't think the biggest multimedia franchise in history should put out lazy, half-finished games, but honestly if these DLCs go well and the old pokedex gets completed, I'd probably buy it.
