If it's a matter of weighing losses, you're literally paying for unchanged content in buying a 3rd version. DLC jumps right to the point, and if you want a holistic approach to updated content, you can replay on a separate save file now that we're on the Switch.

2) The third versions at their peak were full sequels which is absolutely justifiable
3) Even if the third versions were shit that still does not negate the fact they are physical commodities that can be sold on, digital copies cannot be sold on for even one penny, the plastic in the cart is literally worth more than the digital copy
4) These games are not worth $60 let alone $90
5) They are definitely going to release third versions anyway

You are able to back on the kickstarter, on that kickstarter you were able to buy shiny TemTem starters for a certain amount. Shiny TemTem also always will have almost perfect IVs when you get them, meaning that the people that backed the kickstarter already have a rare shiny and competitive TemTem before anyone else.

2) The funny thing about a peak is that it's just that, a peak, not a trend itself. B2W2 was more experimental than the others because it played as a sequel, literally having 2 in the name, in stark contrast with other 3rd versions.
3) People pay for the experience, not the plastic, otherwise there'd be no ongoing market. It's a 'video' game. You can have vastly different experiences represented by the same piece of plastic.
4) You're entitled to your opinion. But consider that it's basically 2 45 dollar games.
5) That's a dumb opinion. A better one is that next year they'll release Megas and possibly Z-moves as DLC to buy another year of time to work on the next set of games, independent from Galar.
