Electric experts don't shoot lightning out of their hands. Flying experts don't have wings. Steel experts aren't robots (as far was we know).
Why do Psychic experts always have the powers of their Pokemon? Same goes to a lesser extent with Fighting experts.

Aura is a fighting-type ability, which means it wouldn't be very useful against psychic people and psychic people's powers would be strong against aura users.

They do this with all the types.

Grass type trainers are gardeners, florists, etc.

Fighting type trainers are often martial artists

Flying type trainers are pilots, birdkeepers, etc.

Water type trainers are swimmers, fishermen, boat captains, etc.

Bug catchers that use bug type, hikers that use rock type, the hex maniacs and channelers use ghost types.

The only issue I have is the implication that there are humans with psychic abilities but it never comes up.

Pokeballs arent effected by magnets.

telekinetic powers can be learned and some people have a natural talent for them, or being around Psychic pokemon a lot rubs off on you and your mental connection with them gives the trainer very light psionic abilities. Its pretty much only ever telekinesis or talking to spirits though, not telepathy, clairvoyance, astral projection etc.

Ghost type users are typically connected to spirits in some way. Like, legitimate supernatural stuff.
