Way to make a lot of assumptions about me shill-tard. I've enjoyed quite a few games. I still do.

You wanna know a series that has been consistently letting me down lately? It's just one series. Take a wild guess. It's a series I've been a fan of since the late 90s. It's a series that has been on a steady decline for the past 5 or so years. Take a wild guess anon.

A lot of these evil-dexers are in the same position as me. People who have been playing this franchise since the very beginning and have seen it steadily decline. We see the direction it's been going into. We're not happy with the stagnation or the removal of features, or the lies coming directly from GF's mouth. It goes beyond a national Dex anon. I enjoy a lot of things. One thing I do enjoy about this community is watching shills like you make fools out of themselves time and time again. That's one thing about this franchise that I can still enjoy.

I've played all of the mainline Pokemon games, and some spin-offs. Hoenn and Sinnoh were the worst in the series. I had fun with Sword because again, I'm not a jaded retard. I'll be having fun with the expansion too, while I wait for March to dump it's payload of other really good games.

I have no buyer's remorse because I'm not poor and $60 is nothing, I was looking forward to the games because I was looking forward to not having to play the game with my neck craned down for once, if you wanna call that hype, and I've played the series since Gen 1 was all we had. Just because someone doesn't think it's the worst the series has been doesn't mean it's being put on a pedestal

In retrospective, Gen 1 and Gen 2 are worse than Gen 8 by far
Personally I'd even say that Gen 3 and Diamond and Pearl (maybe not Platinum) were worse than Gen 8 as well

Based on the games at the time of their release, Diamond and Pearl were absolute disasters
XY were also worse than SwSh (along with ORAS) as they had next to nothing new to offer on top of awkward controls and ugly route design due to legacy tiling

SwSh had its problems, but I enjoyed the new additions to the game on my first playthrough
Exploring the Wild Area and doing raid battles the first time through were really fun for me, and Galar probably has the best gym challenge out of any of the Pokemon games (besides SM's trials maybe)

That's not really an argument
Just because a game has elements that ended up getting expanded on in future games that are generally good doesn't mean they were good games in and of themselves

The only reason why I and people around me even liked Red and Blue was because we were dumb kids brought in by the novelty of trading and general Pokemania (which honestly had nothing to do with the games)
Gen 2 was just a huge mess in general
