Are you staying people who spend an extra $30 to play a game over 2 years before the ultimate edition comes out is a rip off? That’s how to game market works anon. A game and dlc come out then about a year or two after the last dlc they’ll do an ultimate edition. Is this how you play all of your games? It must have been shitty waiting 2 years to play the witcher, any fighting game, assassins creed, etc. Waiting 6 years to play diablo 3 must have been shitty.

The point is not that we are opposed to how the current game market works, although I expect this will generate lively discussion. The point is that the perceived entertainment value of SwSh is not proportional to what they're charging. People saying that switch games are charged $60 regardless of content are missing the point. They're basically equivocating Pokemon with any other IP out there.

I beat the witcher + dlc in under a month, does that mean it’s shit? I like sw/sh more than many other games I’ve payed $60 for. This is where the equivocation lies. You can't compare witcher and pokemon. You can however compare pokemon to other pokemon mainline games. The perceived entertainment value of SwSh drops when compared to other pokemon games. At the prices they were being charged for the console they were on, noone batted an eye that there was significantly less content than previous gens until now.
