How will Gamefreak deal with the level difference in the DLC-regions? Everyone will have pokemon above level 50 or even higher when entering the new regions.

What will they do? Nothing.

They said that you get Kubfu at the start of your journey in the new area, so I'm assuming they're framing it as "you get a new starter and go on a new journey" like how Ash boxes his shit.

I guess you are right. But it would be a shitty solution. What's with the statement "using you current save data" if they take all of your pokemon and you have to start with a new team?

I'm betting it will be like the Fallout DLC from 3, NV and 4: Start DLC, loose all your gear and have to start fresh with a new starter.

I see three possibilities:

A: While you can explore the main area as soon as you get to the train, you can't interact with any story or trainers until post-game
B: It will ignore any scaling with the base region, expecting you to start over with the legendary as mentioned here >>42329997
C: The most likely outcome, is there will simply be no trainer battles.
