He already does, though. The cannons come out when he uses Hydro Pump. Hydro Pump just doesn't have a unique animation for when Blastoise uses it and looks the same for every Pokemon.

I just don't get it; it wouldn't be hard to add a unique animation for a single Pokémon, and Blastoise is the immediate example people always point to for shitty animations. Just fucking do it and get a ton of praise for it despite being something that should've been there since XY

The same is true for literally any Pokemon using Hydro Pump. The animation just materializes in front of them. But Blastoisr clearly is (in lore) using the cannons.

Move animations in the games have always left a lot to the imagination and need a lot of improvement.

It kinda made sense in cloyster because it has a double shell and crustle because it won't have that heavy ass slab on top of him anymore.
