Since these berries do not grow in the water, Galarian Slowpoke are far more terrestrial than before, hence losing its Water-typing. Galarian Slowpoke doesn't gain any typing because it is just a land-bound Slowpoke with spice pigmentation on its head and tail.
Many people speculate that Galarian Weezing will be the one to consume Galarian Slowpoke this time around, and it is through Galarian Weezing that Galarian Slowbro and Galarian Slowking will be Psychic/Poison.
It is hinted that Klara and Avery, the Poison- and Psychic-type specialists in these games, interacting with Galarian Slowpoke, and also being version exclusive, means that they will use a Galarian Slowpoke that eventually evolves into Slowbro as you complete Isle of Armor.
