>>42334274Here is the thing, Expansion Packs for a complete game are fine, when you have a product that actually lives up to its expectations and the Expansion Packs only build upon what the base game had already accomplished.
What SwSh's Expansion Packs are is content that had been present in previous games and was blatantly scraped out to be re-sold, SwSh's complete fucking void of post-game content and the ~400 Pokemon that got snapped being re-sold as expansion packs is a fucking scum tactic.
At the very least with Crystal, Emerald and Platinum you weren't buying the base game and then getting the additional content, let alone the fact you had a game that people generally consider to have been a complete game's worth of content in said base game.
The Expansion Packs for SwSh are just GF re-selling you content that was stripped out from the base game and yet still failing to actually meet the amount of content for the price-tag, the only thing of value from SwSh are its QoL improvements, its story is inferior to every previous game including shit like ORAS and USUM, its gameplay hasn't changed the series as a whole is some four console generations behind technologically in that department and visually it's inconsistent at best and can't even hold up to previous generations in terms of visual consistency.
The cost of SwSh and the Expansion Packs isn't $90, it isn't even $60, hell $40 is probably the highest and even then that's only based on wishful thinking towards what the Expansion Packs could be, they could turn out to be just as shit as the base game in which case I'd be questioning even $30 for the game. And above all that, there is this slimy Expansion Pass nature which encourages people to buy the game without having full knowledge of what they're buying just because of a false scarcity tactic.
