They haven't made it yet retard. This is why people laugh at you - Game Freak and Nintendo are not everyone in the gaming industry. Nintendo held out against DLC for so long as they didn't want to do as every other studio and publisher were by chopping out parts of the game to sell. When they started doing DLC, they planned for them to be separate add-ons to their base games (note they all say "Expansion Pass" rather than season or whatnot - they don't see it as DLC, they see them as significant content releases for their games) and the proof of the pudding is in playing it, each and every game is a complete experience out the box, before factoring in the Expansion contents.

I don't understand why Pokemon fans are going apeshit that people enjoy the new games so much they want to buy the DLC, let alone Sword and Shield

The game is barebones as fuck, doesn’t matter if they haven’t finished making the DLC yet. It’s not worth an addition $30, when the base game doesn’t justify an initial $60. It should be free, since it’s content the game desperately needed on launch.
