Don't worry, IoA is going to fix that and allow you to train your mons for them to acquire the Gigantamax Factor. Or at least you'll be able to do that for the starters.

I get Gamefreak wants some stuff in the game to be 'exclusive' and make you work hard for it but I'd like them a lot more if they were breedable or you could do some kind of task that could give any Pokemon Gigantomax status if they can have the form. I think 'exclusive' stuff should be cosmetic only, like different colors or accessories, not related to the central competitive gimmick of the generation. Until then they will forever be inferior to Megas for me.

What's the point of blocking it off, not what's the point of them existing.

All they are is Z-Moves except you get more HP to survive the hits better, and you can hold items. There's no reason to block off the ability to Gigantamax to only specific individuals, instead of the whole species.

In fact, since you can hold items, they're arguably more broken than Z-moves, so nice going pretending competitive matters to Game Freak pal.

Z moves are nukes/status that you bring an item so you can use once per battle. Dynamax is a costless mechanic available to both players at all times. They are nothing alike and Z moves max power is much higher than max moves.

So the game is inherently multiplayer or are you talking out of your ass because, you know, it starts and proceeds entirely in singleplayer until you go out of your way to engage in multiplayer.
