They don't realize that the content aimed at adults is the postgame, and by that I don't mean the singleplayer content, I mean the breeding, shiny hunting, raid battles and online battles, the things you'll spend the bulk of your time doing after you finish the games.
That's how you get subhumans saying some Pokemon games are bad because "THEY HAVE TOO MANY CUTSCENES" or "THERE'S SO MUCH HANDHOLDING" or even better "IT'S SO LINEAR". It's almost like they're manchildren who go to a theme park but then get into all the attractions for little kids, and can't stop complaining about how slow or boring all the rides are.
