Charizard may be shilled to death but its design is so inoffensive and basic for a fire-breathing dragon I can't really hate it. Blastoise and Venusaur are pretty cool.
"I don't dislike any of them" or "Two of these are cool and the other one is ok I guess" is WAY more than I can say about most sets of starters.

Swampert is my favorite starter out of all of them but I do think the gen 1 starters as a whole are the best because none of them are bad.

If Samurott,Chesnaught and Tigger were the original trio then we wouldn't have a franchise speak less of them getting shilled. I'll admit that them being first is a factor but there is certainly more to it than just that.
