finished the demo. I like the new artstyle when walking around town but the new style just doesn't work for me with grid based combat.

Fuck having no basic attack

fuck the new controls changing how to turn your face and how to lock diagonal movements

fuck moves leveling up

fuck the lag and delay from controls when using the dpad to move around

I don't care about the rest of the new stuff like auto mode, I just won't use it. They made a lot of bad changes to make it more friendly to people first playing a mystery dungeon game (makes sense given that its a new console and its been years since the last one)

I won't buy the game unless they fix those things. If they added a hard mode and online/ local co-op between different switches I could see past my other grievances.

Why was it bad?
It was a useful tool to deal some dmg without using pp, until they nerfed it to deal only 5 dmg flat, and now they outright remove it

And that's fine, because this isn't mainline and shouldn't play like mainline. Or are you going to try to say that RT/Explorers level 1 dungeons were too easy despite having accesss to the basic attack?

Was that not in the original? I replay Sky a lot more than I do Blue and Red so I just assumed it was always there.
