Stakataka is literally a building and it's based on deforestation to build more urban areas. That's why it's considered an invasive species.

Even concept art and it's ultraspace (who unfortunately isn't in the game, but it's a forest according the UB merchandising) implies this.

In other words, its typing are just construction materials

they really dropped the ball with some of these in the past. like others in thread have said, Rock and ghost are such an easy combination for things that exist already. same with electric and fighting for some previous Pokemon. I have to say I disagree with the gen7 dog being normal Rock though. I like the idea that it's a pure rock type that is fast and aggressive considering that is not the norm for that typing and an earth-based wolf is somewhat of an RPG trope

As other anons pointed out, I think we are gonna see Psychic/Poison Slowking and Electric/Fighting Zapdos.
I'd really like to see a rust-based Poison/Steel, a Normal/Ghost and Fire/Grass mons.

One small critique of this, I feel the distinction symbols should be sorta on the Pokémon rather than beside them? I feel it makes it a little difficult to read.

I see what you mean and at first I tried putting the icons a little behind the sprites and add a bit of transparency too, but I found the result pretty messy and I opted for this layout instead.
