So I started up a new game today and ever since the new update it looks like the NPC name tags of who is talking are no longer showing up.

Is this a bug that doesn't appear to everyone, though? I've seen videos of the Galarian Slowpoke event, where the new rival has the "???" tag properly in place.

Yeah, that ??? tag appears at the Slowpoke event, and gamer tags in the Wild area appear, but other than that, I couldn't find tags for any major character. What the fuck? This must be one hell of a coding fuckup.

They probably only tested the newly added event, where the name tag does work, so they didn't notice anything wrong. Which is sort of understandable, since if that one works, all the other conversations should work, too... Unless you are GameFreak tier at coding, I guess.
