So why is the OU that follows Galar's cuts more centralizing than the OU that doesn't?
Now sure we can all laugh and go 'looks like GF doesn't know how to balance shit' but I want to know why it's so unbalanced.
So please enlighten this child of the earth.

Because there are less Pokemon. It's always been this way. Snorlax has like 90% usage in the first two gens, and then Tyranitar has like 60% usage.

With such a limited pool of Pokemon there's obvious huge threats that force very specific counters on every team.
LO Clefable is the best wall breaker in the meta, and it's only consistent defensive answers are SpDef Sylveon, SpDef Clefable, and niche trash like Flareon.
Excadrill is a huge threat and it's only true counter in the entire dex is Corviknight, so Corviknight is on every team.
Dracovish forces you to use Seismitoad or Gastrodon on every team.
Sub Bulk Up Corviknight can bullshit past any counter but Rotom Wash and Heat, so they're on every team.
Hydriegon, Aegislash, and Dragapult force Mandibuzz on every team, and even then Hydriegon and Aegislash can bullshit past it depending on the set.
