Am I alone in enjoying these more than SWSH? This is not a bait thread. I just felt that they were inherently more fun to play and felt more fresh due to the partner interactions and being able to ride Pokemon and such. It was Kanto again, but Kanto is more fun to explore than Galar.
I wouldn't even call them great games, just better than SWSH.

Unironically same.
The waggle wild encounters sucked ass, but other than that it's a solid game. Also understandable since it's literally Go, but it worked way better on a touch screen... which isn't supported for some reason.
Had a lot of fun with all the features that didn't get ported over to SwSh.

More LG style games would be fun not gonna lie.
But dear lord they are not worth 60 bucks, for spinoffs which are packing so little and made for newcomers/go players they should be software games for 35$ at most

I definitely agree that they are not $60 experiences but for about half of that like you said they would be fine. I just wish they had wild battles or a vs. seeker.

>make them almost free roam
>go all in the little gimmicks (pokeball making and berry farming in lets go johto for example)
>add z crystals
>add a ton of anime nods like orange islands or more anime only characters
>flesh out the master fights
>make the game protags show up to fight you as bonus bosses
And sell it digitally for 35$
It would be pretty alright

Would later regions still not have abilities or held items? I got the impression those weren't in because it's literally Yellow, but it's also supposed to be an entry point so I'm not sure.

Heck if you wanted to make it sell like hotcakes you could bundle it with like a code for a free trial/lite of home to get even the "not buying it" crowd to buy it.

Damn, that would have been such a big brain move at the time since everyone expected to be able to transfer everything from Let's Go over to SwSh (except maybe the Partners).
But without actually knowing how much Home would cost, it's not a must buy.

Yes, because lite battles and big catches are how go players are, it would be perfect.
Especially since it would be the perfect excuse to keep developing the catching, more lures, more berries, shiny hunting, pokemon sizes actually having an effect in battles, maybe more boss pokemon (like totems returning as pack leaders)

I did some shiny hunting but not a lot. Beat the dex too. Got about 65 hours out of this game which I think is alright considering that aren't the most content heavy. Couldn't bring myself to finish SWSH due to all the railroading and uninteresting plot which interrupts you.

Unironically if they had announced $30 DLC that added Johto and Sevii to LGPE instead of the SWSH DLC I would've had zero problems with it. It's not a robust game and it doesn't feel like 'real' Pokemon but the experience it presents is complete for what it sets out to be. As opposed to SWSH with its weird emptyness.
