I don't care if he's happy, but if swsh makes him happy, he can probably get the same feeling dangling a set of keys in front of his face for a few minutes at a much cheaper price.

Why would you be happy, waiting for a third version would give you more content at less cost. Now you need to pay $90 for a game that still has less content and less pokemon than USUM instead of waiting for a $60 definitive edition that would improve the base game's story

He can have fun all he wants, but toy keys can be bought for like $5 max, while swsh with the expansion is $90, and he's going to have the same amount of fun with both. Think of it as a lifehack.

I’d much rather GF drop a few $20-30 expansions for an existing game over the course of a couple of years instead of dump extra content into a full-price new title.
