Galarian Slowpoke are nothing new, my child. They are called that because technically the Isle of Armor falls under the kingdom of Galar. It is closer to Galar than Kalos is, for instance.
Galarians are responsible for a lot of ecosystems being thrown into chaos in the early days of regional exploration. Through trial and error, we learned the importance of preserving natural biodiversity as much as possible.

Definitely Eternatus, the extraterrestrial Legendary Pokémon responsible for the Dynamax and Gigantamax phenomenon, which I also study. Its DNA is completely unlike any found here, and the way it is able to manipulate Galar particles leads me to believe that perhaps every Pokémon from its home planet had the same ability! Perhaps that even explains the meteorite that brought Eternatus here, its planet was destroyed by the constant destructive battles caused by giant alien Pokémon!

It is of my professional opinion that Eternatus is native to this universe, unlike Ultra Beasts. The Galar particles that Eternatus radiates are completely unlike the Ultra Wormhole energy that gives Totem Pokémon their auras. I believe that there was a planet in a section of space that naturally had more exotic elements and energies. The Pokémon there naturally evolved to Dyna and Gigantamax as commonly as Evolution on our world. Eventually the planet was destroyed by the giant battles, sending Eternatus into space, trapped in a piece of the planet.

That is, due to the high amount of people crossing between Galar and Unova throughout history, there were more chances for Pokémon undertaking those travels to settle down and adapt.

It is only a concern when Eternatus is awake. The amount of energy needed to warp space is so great that without a constant supply of it, a Pokémon can only Dynamax for three turns of a battle. Then space collapses back to its unstretched form, its state of lowest potential energy. Basically, the universe fixes itself.

The current theory is that it is a mix of factors. Just like I am different to you, two Charizards are also different to each other genetically. Throughout their lives they will collect random mutations in their DNA. There seems to be a chance that a mutation can occur that allows Pokémon DNA to respond to Galar particles similarly to how it would a Mega Stone.
Another factor, one which we do believe can increase the chance of this mutation occuring, is increased exposure to Galar particles, like in Max Raid Dens.

Technically, this is getting into theological territory.
A popular belief among certain scientific communities is that Humans are not actually native to this universe. They believe we were placed here by Arceus to "rule over Pokémon" after it watched Humanity in its native universe and fell in love with them.
Others believe Humans were created by Arceus.
Really though, no one truly knows why Humans don't have the types or powers of Pokémon. We do have some latent psychic potential, and we certainly have souls, but that's about it.
