Holding corporations and they executives responsible for their lies is not pointless. It's the only way things ever change. If masuda and Gamefreak didn't want to get shit on, they shouldn't have made shitty excuses and a mediocre product. They had years to make a good game and fucked up and deserve to be called on it.

Unfortunately, that has not been true in decades, especially now now when megacorps can just continue churning out garbage for years and still make money and CEO's who fuck up badly can walk away with golden parachutes worth 10's of millions of dollars, while the government allows them to screw over their employees and consumers alike.
