>>42379474Aberration Type
My reasoning is that Pokemon has on at least 3 occassions taken creature types that would just be a bestiary classification in other RPGs (i.e. Vermin, Dragon, and Fey in D&D) and treated it as an elemental type for whatever reason.
>Retyped Pokemon >Wynaut, Wobbuffet, Unown, Arceus with new plate (reuses the old ??? Type Arceus palette)Pure Aberration
>Girafarig, Type: NullNormal/Aberration
>SilvallyNormal/Aberration but swaps Normal depending on Memory
>KartanaAberration/Grass
>BlacephalonAberration/Fire
>Dracovish, ArctovishAberration/Water
>Xurkitree, Dracozolt, ArctozoltAberration/Electric
>BuzzwoleAberration/Fighting
>SigilyphAberration/Flying
>Nihilego, Poipole, NaganadelAberration/Poison
>Barbaracle, StakatakaAberration/Rock
>PheromosaAberration/Bug
>Mimikyu, Dawn Wings NecrozmaAberration/Ghost (as much as I'd like to make Mimikyu Fairy for the sake of type variety, I think it looks too much like a bedsheet ghost to lose its Ghost typing; maybe it starts out as part Fairy but becomes part Ghost when its disguise "dies"?)
>Celesteela, Dusk Mane NecrozmaAberration/Steel
>Mewtwo, Deoxys, Hoopa Unbound, NecrozmaAberration/Psychic
>GuzzlordAberration/Dark
>Giratina (maybe only one of its forms?), Ultra Necrozma, EternatusAberration/Dragon
MAYBE: Staryu, Starmie, Tentacruel, Regigigas, Hydreigon
>Retyped movesConstrict, Hyperspace Fury, Mind Blown, Prismatic Laser, Photon Geyser, Eternabeam, possibly Shadow Force
Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam are now similar to Flying Press and deal Aberration-type damage as well as Solgaleo/Lunala's STAB
>Type properties (not finalized)Weak to: Normal (because it contrasts with its abnormality), Psychic (magic seals/banishes them)
Resists: Itself
Strong against: Fairy (affronts to nature; Tapu vs. UB rivalry)
Resisted by: Itself, Ice (trope of abominations being frozen at the Poles), Bug (brains too simple to be weirded out by them)
