Game x 2 = Price x 2 = 200% price for 2 games
Half Game + the other half = Price + (price/2) = 150% price for 1 game

You don't get it retards, it's not about dlcs per se, it's about that we are talking about GF: so their idea of DLC is "i gave them half game and the other half for half the price".
The third versions were scum business practise as well, but at least you could skip the base titles and got one full game for its price.
Pragmatically, it's worse, considering it's GF.
I don't want to spend 90$ for a game tbf, a game that is not even that good to begin with.
I'll just leave pokemon behind, I guess.

Colosseum was actually hard, and it had better animations than SwooSh. XD was roughly the same game but it included Lugia and other mons that were still not available in Gen 3 GBA games. Also both games were relatively cheap due to how not everyone noticed them that much. While nowadays you could just play HGSS to get your Pokeymanz and ORAS to get Deoxys. I wouldn't mind going back to Gen 3 to play through Emerald, FireRed, Colosseum and XD.

Even on 3DS it was stupid, you just have to have the intelligence to offer a dynamic and adaptive camera, like on Colosseum, XD or Battle Revolution.

Game Freak prefers to stay with a fixed camera at an angle, awful, not natural, in short it is also what plays in the ugliness of SS.

They do have a dynamic camera in SS during battles, it works the same way that the camera in Colo/GoD does, in that it pans around the battlefield between turns. The camera itself isn't the problem at all.

Technically you don't need Colo/XD at all. You can get every single Pokemon with just RSE/FRLG. You're going to need all five games and you'll need to do three full playthroughs of Emerald, but it's possible with just the GBA games.

And no, Mew/Lugia/Ho-Oh/Celebi/Jirachi/Deoxys don't count.

Gen 3 was unironically amazing for this. All the pokemon you had felt rare and it encouraged becoming social with other people. Because of it, there were all sorts of videos and attempts to try and find a way to get Ho-oh lugia without paying money

The whole experience was actually pretty kino. It wasn't just a paywall as you could obtain them with events, and these games really felt unique with the difficulty, mechanics and gameplay overall. Also, Lugia being a final boss and Ho-Oh being a reward for an actual postgame facility feel more satisfying to obtain than just slapping them on a new area that costs half the base game (at least it was a free event back in FRLG and Emerald)
