Chunsoft clearly showed that they can still create good original stuff with Super, so why do a fucking remake as your first PMD game on Switch? I'm also scared this mean we'll also have an explorer of Sky remake

Super is an absolutely terrible game storywise, even worse than regular Pokemon games and the gameplay is ok, but before it gets going you are trapped in the school shit for several hours before you can check out new dungeons by yourself and shit. It's USUM-tier walking from one meaningless cutscene to the next in the beginning hours.

It's just the unfortunate drawback of making games with mass appeal. Since Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is niche, Spike Chunsoft has to try harder with the golden goose IP they're making games for due to the overall change in gameplay from a simple turn based monster collecter to a a dungeon crawler/strategy game.

The story of BW is very awful. N is an entitled little shit and never grows as a person until Ghestis pulls the rug under him. The story also rushes Bianca's and Cheren's development to cater to N sooner, which is a fucking shame. B2W2 are arguably superior imo since it wraps up neatly that N wasn't worthy of the Dragon at all due to his inability to grow as a person. As for USUM, the entire story of SM was flawless, yes the cutscenes were a bit jarring, but the entirety of it had everyone around you feel alive and like their own person, yeah you were along for the ride, but you're an outsider who was welcomed by these people into their lives and you were a real friend to them all.

It's been a long time since I played shadows, but personally I wasn't even able to finish the school shit before I was done with super. The Giratina retardation was the final nail for me. Pretty sure shadow has less school stuff.

Story was alright but the pacing was fucked. Gameplay is the best in the series barring a few dumb things like recruits taking days off.
