Sword and Shield's current Famitsu sales as of January 5th 2020 is 3.19million. this is physical only. Nintendo confirmed that Sword and Shield sold 630k (digitally) in its first week. If you add those two numbers together, the figures are 3.82 million. Which is only 80k behind Sun and Moon's total. Now, the 639k digital figure was only for week 1 only. Which means we have 6 weeks of digital figures unaccounted for. Which would definitely be over 80k. Much much over. We also have next week's sales (which comes our tomorrow) and the game will sell more than 80k that week as well. So whatever way you look at it, sword and Shield has outside sun and moon

Sun and Moon's lifetime sales in Japan is 3.9million by the way

Yeah, and nowhere else is it sticking around the top. Hasn't even been top 5 since December started anywhere else Nintendo has given relative numbers for (Europe and the Americas).
