Why are Johto starters so cucked? No megas like Kanto or Hoenn, no gigas like Kanto or Galar, no upcoming remakes to shill new forms/abilities/movepools, no secondary types to make them useful competitively, no love in the anime at all, nothing.

Johto starters had it pretty good in the anime. Not as good as the Kanto starter but still pretty good anime. At least I scan remember Bayleaf and Totodile’s personalities unlike Mudkip.
