All in all its a really kino experience that will make you feel close to that childhood nostalgia, but it has absolutely no complexity in terms of gameplay.
If you have money to spend and would otherwise waste it on eating fast food, and you want to reclaim some nostalgia then do that. But since you never played gen 1, it will seem very shallow for you since it's literally just holding a single Joycon and wiggling it around to catch mons
