The story is an edgy high schooler's fan fiction and the difficulty wavers between really fucking hard and a little too hard, but I enjoyed my time with it over all. Reborn City is a really fun environment to just wander, I had tons of fun figuring out the terrain effects and the enemy trainers have actual strategy and decent AI.
It was a better experience for me than most official Pokémon games, just because I had to think and strategize as I went through. But it's definitely not going to appeal to most Pokémon players, especially with the awful dialogue.
