Not only do we have Pokeballs, shinies, and forms but now we have MARKS to worry about.

I just went through my PC and got a ton of cool ones. Are all of them given at the moment of capture or can you get them from using your Pokemon? Can egg Pokemon have marks?

I would also like a thread about this. AFAIK it doesn’t happen with eggs or raids which is too bad because that’s how I get the vast majority of mons post story, but that was probably a design choice.

egg pokemon can only have "earned" marks, like league champion or tower master
others are all given at the moment of capture.
like for example, pokemon that join your party while camping have the curry connoisseur mark, but only those pokemon. there's no way to get the curry connoisseur mark on a pokemon you didnt get from camping

if you're autistic enough to legitimately just chill with your pokemon in camp for a REAAALLLY long time, not just make curry, throw a ball once and leave, wild pokemon of the area you're camping in will join you
also heres a fun fact i'm 99% sure no one but me knows, though i only tested it a little bit so it might not be true
all sinistea you get from camping are authentic.
i got 3 sinisteas from camping and they were all authentic

You can't choose the ball, but they can just be sent to the box. I managed to get a Bold 5iv Applin this way.

Side note, any good sets for Appletun with Ripen? I really want to use it. I feel like I was gifted.

cant choose the ball, but you don't need space in your party. they just show up, you call them over and it says "it wants to join your team!" and if you click yes it goes into a pokeball immediately

curry helps im sure, but
i think you need to play with your pokemon a lot and have them all be happy in that current camp session, but its pretty inconsisent. first time it happened i was probably in camp for 40 minutes

Unlike balls, marks can't be manipulated easily so I'd guess no unless you want very specific manipulations.
