People are basically pushing the idea with these kinds of threads that "THEY'RE BAD SO THEY WILL ALWAYS BE BAD", which is just a self-fulfilling prophecy and forcing themselves to hate it should someone actually do the idea justice in the future. It's being stubborn for no reason.
Also, we've had some great execution of the commonly proposed Grass/Fire pepper Pokemon but you guys still shit on that with the reasoning being ">grass/fire pepper fakemon, unamusedpepe.jpg".
It's an exposure thing. If you don't hate the prospect of the idea alone and just hate the execution, take a crack at it yourself. Try taking the idea you groan at the thought of and turn it into something that actually makes you go "Wow, that could actually be pretty neat."
