Fixed for accuracy because Johto’s mon selection is still ass a decade after GS. Also that level curve is downright insufferable.

Disagree, HGSS is a remake made a decade after GSC, you would expect that it would receive the same care and quality of FRLG, fixing the core issues of Gen 2., but no they didn’t.

HGSS and DPPt had better features than gen 5, it's a shame they didn't keep things like the poke watch or follower pokemon. Level curve and difficulty were best in gen 5 though. Postgame areas in White 2 are more challenging than anything past gen 6

You know what? I think I’d trade following pokemon for move tutors who are not recolored Hyper Beam teachers. That’s my biggest strike against BW. I always hated how they leave the tutors for the follow games.

As much as I love HGSS, I will never forgive them for adding following Pokémon, because it gives people a really easy out for complaining about cut features just because of how simple it is. There are features that should make returns that are more deserving than a fucking 2D sprite that follows your movement, like Contests or the Battle Frontier, or even just fleshing out the world and making it larger and more open.

I will never understand how there are people that exist that genuinely believe these games rank among the best or are the best in this franchise. Johto is such an absolutely boring region, HGSS still suffers from tons of problems from GSC that were never fixed, and even though it has a lot of postgame content, it’s either handled poorly (Rematches) or just copy paste from previous games (Battle Frontier)

The cutscenes in BW are more egregious than the frame rate in HGSS. BW Unova is also the worst region next to Galar as the entire game made the stupid mistake of trying to revolve everything around a really shitty story
