There's a part where you are sleeping in the Sharpedo bluff, but your partner realizes Grovyle isn't sleeping. He goes outside and finds him trying to look at the sunrise. He talks about how close you were back then, and then makes your partner promise he's gonna take care of you - foreshadowing his plan to take Dusknoir back to the future and leave you again.
