Take not shills. This is what real Expansions should be like. Those DLCs for SwSh are comparable to what Witcher 3's free DLCs are and GF should have just released it for free as well.

i dunno, probably. either way, the base game was super packed with content, so even if what you posted is true, people didn't feel too bad about buying the expansions, since they were pretty cheap and added a lot more to an already content rich game

I could buy some of the new areas and side quests in HoS being cut content but thats a fraction of the DLC

Where did you even hear that? It's a brand new story in a brand new region with new monsters, quests, equipment, and more. You're looking at 30-40 hours of gameplay if you want to see and do most things in it.

That doesn't mean anything. The DLC in Dark Souls was cut content but it added a new area and new bosses and spells. If something was originally intended for the base game but wasn't included for whatever reason it's cut content.

Yes it does
The content of the DLC is entirely seperate to the main story and makes no sense not being DLC
Dark Souls is different as you can buy a smaller version of it having been in the main game
Do you really think they might have had a whole giant map entirely seperate to everything meant for the base game or a 10 hour detached questline

Nah, they only reused content is a character that you meet un the beginning of the base game is used as an integral character to the dlc
And blood and wine kinda flips the base game on it's head, it is a bit more bright, vibrsnt colors, more classic fantasy stuff. Still need to finish blood and wine but got quite far.
