I always thought it'd be neat if the fossil mons had an 'original' form, rather than their restored forms. It'd be neat to go back in time to see these prehistoric pokemon actually alive; They wouldn't have their rock typing anymore and they'd appear different than how we reconstructed them, but still recognisable.
