Absol probably has the yin yang motif both because the creature is based on was stark white and black, and also because it tries to say something about its nature. It is good, but it senses ill-fated events. It has wicked powers but uses them for heroics. Or something like that.
I also like to think its ears are asymmetrical as well, letting it pinpoint the exact location of a sound much like an owl.
