A little over 3 years if we're lucky. The DLC SHOULD extend the longevity of the gen but it probably won't.....

It seems like they're set on 11-13 months now. I don't know if DLC will effect longevity at all, but if I were to estimate I'd say it would add about 6 months more of life to gen 8
