His plan was ultimately about using Eternatus to give Galar infinite energy. He wanted Leon to do it because he was the strongest trainer in Galar.

In the end, one of his friends ended up getting Eternatus. He had an ally with a source of infinite energy and didn't tell him to use it for the sake of Galar

They could have atleast put the energy crisis alot closer. They did establish he has a habit of wanting to solve problems immediately but the crisis being so far off just makes him look like a loon for rushing things this much.

In the original jap text Rose actualy says to Leon that putting his sport as priority over guaranteeing an utopia for Galar is stupid, and after Leon says "can't it wait just ONE day" Rose talks about how his grandmother always told him that leaving things for tomorrow is why people lose themselves in indolence and Leon just blows him off.

So even in the original jap text, Rose's motivation is literally "he got so mad that his bro wanted to watch soccer instead of saving the world that he decide to do it without him".

that was some random number thrown out by Leon and probably scientists, but when were they always right about these predictions? Rose wanted to solve the future problem as soon as possible, if you want a real life example just look at climate activists.

Rose was also in charge of alot of the industries in Galar. The sports league was just one of many things. Stopping/restricting Dynamax usage would be a stop gap at best and he want to solve the problem not kick the can down the road.

Yea but it would have made him look crazier. Somehow hes the only one who knows that energy is gonna deplete? Itd bring him closer to the level of Cyrus or Lysandre.
